Q- What is Cold Laser Therapy?

A- Cold laser therapy is a low-intensity laser therapy that stimulates healing while using low levels of light. The technique is called “cold” laser therapy because the low levels of light are not hot enough to heat your pets body tissue. The level of light is low when compared to other forms of laser therapy, such as those used to destroy tumors and coagulate tissue. Surgical and aesthetic lasers heat the tissue being treated. True to its name, cold laser therapy does not.

Q- What does Cold Laser Therapy (CLT) treat?

A- Our Cold Laser Therapy treats major and minor wounds, otitis/ear infections, hip arthritis and hip dysplasia, knee arthritis, lower back/spine arthritis, shoulder arthritis, elbow arthritis, chronic gingivitis/stomatitis and anal gland issues. What cold laser therapy does is it stimulates the cells of the affected area of treatment to promote growth of ATP (energy unit of the cell), which in time will help heal the affected area quickly and painlessly. Cold Laser Therapy also creates an increase in blood flow, decreased scar tissue, decreased inflammation and increased cellular growth ultimately aiding the body in healing itself.
